They can hurt and they can heal. They have been known to declare wars, and end them. They have saved relationships, and destroyed them. They have the power to sell something that will make millions, and slander something that devastates lives. We can encourage one another when they are backed by love, and tear down another when backed by hate. What are they you ask? Words. It is something we all possess no matter what language we speak. They are among the most powerful tools we all have and even the deaf have them. Words have the power to do all of these things mentioned above and they are all with us at all times. We paid nothing for them. But we can pay dearly if we misuse them. Science has even proven that they have the power to heal and our own creator has even lovingly shared his word with us. And even more amazing, he has granted us the ability and privilege to speak our words to him and he listens. Isn't it amazing that from the richest most successful man, down to the homeless man struggling on the street, they both have this amazingly powerful and invaluable tool. They have their words to ask for what they want. We have all heard the expression, "Choose your words wisely." when someone is confronting us in a threatening manner. Yet do not wait to feel threatened. Choose your words wisely and without delay. If you speak them for the right reasons to the right people, in the right combination at the right time, you too can change lives. You can change the world.
